Toad Extensio for Visual Studio v1.1 is now available!
Good news!! The much anticipated update to Toad Extension for Visual Studio is here! I know many of you have been patiently waiting for an update to add support for several things, so this should be a very interesting release. Here’s the skinny on what’s been added. Click on one of the links below to download the latest version and try it out for yourself.
- Additional Oracle Data Types Supported — Toad Extension now supports Character Large Object (CLOB), Binary Large Object (BLOB), and User-Defined data types.
- Redirect Schema Compare & Deployment — You can now redirect schema compare and the deploy engine to map the schema of a project to a different schema in the database.
- From the project properties screen, on the project settings tab, check the box underneath the “Default Schema” setting. This means that I can compare against or deploy to a different schema than what’s in my project. (e.g.: my project has “SODA” but I want to deploy at a customer site where their schema is named “SODAMFG.”)
- Command Line Build Scenarios — Build and deploy projects from the command line.
